In a move to boost cricketing infrastructure and nurture talent across the North-Eastern states of India, Jay Shah, the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), recently laid the foundation stone for the board's upcoming state-of-the-art training facilities in the region.

This development marks a pivotal step towards uplifting the game in the area and providing world-class resources to budding players. The Northeastern states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim have been an integral part of the domestic cricket scene since the 2018-19 season.

However, the lack of adequate infrastructure has resulted in a significant challenge for players from these states to hone their skills and reach their full potential. The BCCI's decision to invest in world-class training facilities addresses this long-standing issue and enhances the board's commitment to growing cricket nationwide.
