Kevin Pietersen excited to visit "one of his favourite countries" next week

One of England's finest batters, Kevin Pietersen, will be visiting The Golden Bird, India, with his family for a vacation next week. He announced the news on via a tweet put out in pure Hindi, one of the most prominently-spoken languages in India. Having toured along with England many-a-times as well as having come to play the Indian Premier League for many seasons, next week is set to be the dynamic stalwart's first alongside his family, as mentioned by him.

Expressing his heartfelt love for the nation by calling it Mother India (a symbolic label given to the country since ages to invoke national pride and reverence), he was sure that his children, son Dylan and daughter Rosie, to enjoy the nation's culture and tradition along with the people as much as he has.

Check what Pietersen wrote on 'X' here:

Having represented three franchises in the Indian Premier League, namely the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (2009, 2019), the Delhi Capitals (2012, 2014), and the Rising Pune Supergiants (2016), the dynamic batter soon became a fan favourite in India, which would be clearly reflected by the way he would get treated while on the field.

Pietersen's track record for England while playing in India

Pietersen was a menace to bowl to, particularly for the spinners, due to the ease with which he would move around his crease. The manner in which he would go about his business on the turning and slow tracks of India was commendable, to say the least.

His numbers while batting in India speak volumes on why Pietersen was considered one of the finest batters to have played their trade in the Indian subcontinent. His statistics in the longest format were truly remarkable, with 703 runs amassed in 16 innings at an average of 43.93.
