'Kha le maa kasam nahi lega' - Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav's hilarious banter caught on stump mic, video goes viral
India A ultimately fell short of the target set by India B by 76 runs as the latter registered a well-deserved victory in the opening round of the 2024 Duleep Trophy.
A rib-tickling moment was captured by the stump mic between India and Delhi Capitals teammates, Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav, representing India B and India A in the Duleep trophy 2024.
With India A requiring 131 to win with only three wickets in hand and Kuldeep being the last recognizable bowler who had demonstrated expertise in batting, the wrist-spinner swept a delivery from Sai Kishore off to the vacant midwicket fence. The very next delivery, which was the final ball of the over, was delayed due to a hysterical moment between the spinner and the wicketkeeper.
Pant alerted the fielders fielding outside the thirty-yard circle and on it to take a few steps to stifle the single which he assumed Kuldeep would take, to take strike for the next over, hence protecting Akash Deep from the bowlers of India B, who were looking to finish proceedings off in a jiffy. Retorting to Pant's statement, Kuldeep replied that he wouldn't take a single, implying that there was no need to take the field up. Pant wittily responded by asking Kuldeep to swear on his mother that he would not take the single.

"Sab upar rehna single ke liye saare (everyone come up close to prevent the single from being taken)," notified Pant.
"Mai nahi lunga (I won't take the single)," replied Kuldeep.
"Kha le maa kasam nahi lega (swear on your mother that you won't take it)," retorted Pant.
