WATCH: KKR reach for the stars! Name Gemini constellation trio 'Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo'
Kolkata Knight Riders celebrate their legacy by naming three stars in the Gemini constellation after their iconic motto.
Popular Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), in a first in cricket history, came up with a galactical move of registering three stars belonging to the Gemini constellation. Notably, KKR have named them after their war cry aka slogan - "Korbo, Lorbo and Jeetbo," respectively.
Notably, the stars were named to celebrate their three memorable title-winning campaigns of years 2024, 2014 and 2012. In the same vein, Kolkata took to their official handle to inform their fans about the historic decision. Interestingly enough, all their title wins happened in the same zodiac time frame which falls under Gemini.
"The three-time champions have just booked a permanent place in the (K)night sky! How? We've just registered three actual stars around the Gemini constellation, which are now officially named after our title wins in 2012 (Korbo), 2014 (Lorbo) and 2024 (Jeetbo)," KKR wrote on their official 'X' handle.
"The stars have been registered by the date that we won each of the three titles - 27/05/2012 | 1/6/2014 | 26/5/2024. All three stars have been picked from around the Gemini constellation, since all three dates fall under the Gemini Zodiac. On a clear night, the stars can be viewed using the coordinates, or by scanning the QR code!" they further mentioned.
