Old video of Shikhar Dhawan advising Rishabh Pant to drive carefully resurfaces after car crash

Rishabh Pant met with a horrific accident December 30 while travelling from Delhi to Dehradun. The 25-year-old fell asleep at the wheel and his car hit a divider before catching fire. The cricketer suffered multiple injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate aid. Later, he was transferred to Max Hospital in Dehradun for further treatement. 

As per the medical report, the southpaw has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. 

Meanwhile, following the heart-wrenching incident, an old video has resurfaced where Pant can be seen with Shikhar Dhawan. Pant asks Dhawan for one advice he has for him, to which Dhawan responds and asks him to drive carefully. The duo then bursts into laughter as Pant promises Dhawan that he will drive carefully.

Notable dignitaries extend recovery wishes to Rishabh Pant

After the tragic accident, a lot of former cricketers and Pant’s current teammates extended their best wishes for him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted about the 25-year-old and mentioned that he is distressed by the accident and is praying for Pant’s speedy recovery.

Former India skipper Virat Kohli too extended his heartfelt wishes and wished for his teammate's speedy recovery. 

In the meantime, Uttarkhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami promised to extend all possible support to the cricketer. Notably, Pant's brain and spinal cord MRI scans have returned normal results while he has undergone plastic surgery for his facial injuries.
