RCB take on CSK in season opener of IPL 2024
Speaking of RCB’s upcoming assignment, the side will be taking on the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in the season opener of the tournament on March 22. Both sides will face off at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, and the teams will look to get off to flying starts.
Chennai Super Kings will be entering the tournament as the defending champions. Led by MS Dhoni, Chennai became the joint-highest title holders, defeating Gujarat Titans in the summit clash of the IPL 2023, winning the tournament for the fifth time in their history.
On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru had a season to forget in the IPL 2023 as the side was knocked out of the group stages of the tournament. Finishing in sixth place, Bengaluru finished with 14 points in 14 matches.
However, as the new season of the tournament approaches, Bengaluru will look to put in an improved performance and potentially get their hands on the title.
