Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to take up the mic and don the commentator's hat in the fourth Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India and Australia are set to lock horns on March 9 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the final red-ball clash of the four-match series.

As per reports, the Indian Prime Minister is likely to join the commentary panel and will commentate during the decider game between the two sides. In addition to this, his Australian counterpart, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will be in attendance on the opening day of the clash.

Furthermore, reports also suggest that the two PM’s are likely to be at the toss of the fourth Test wherein PM Modi is to spin the coin. Banners of the political giants have gone up at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad ahead of the all-important encounter.

India eyeing for WTC final spot

Speaking about the clash, team India are still one step away from cementing a place in the finals of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23. However, a win in the fourth Test will see them through to the ICC's red-ball event finale.

On the other hand, after enduring back-to-back losses, the Aussies came back stronger and registered a comprehensive win in the third Test. With this, Australia cemented their place in the WTC final, and are likely to face either India or Sri Lanka on June 7 at The Oval in London.

It is worth noting that, Sri Lanka have the tougher assignment as they require a series sweep against New Zealand in order to stamp their ticket to the final. Any result apart from two wins in the series against the BlackCaps will see Rohit Sharma and Co. go through.

In any case, with the final Test to be played on March 9, team India will look to replicate their results from the first and second Tests. Notably, regardless of the result in the fourth Test, India have retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a current lead of 2-1 in the series.
