Team India scripted their second successive victory in the ongoing Asia Cup tournament against Hong Kong on Wednesday, 31st August, after hammering them by 40 runs to seal their spot in the Super 4 stage of the tournament. Although Rohit Sharma made it seven wins out of seven in Asia Cup as a captain, former Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Hafeez labeled him a 'confused personality' after his remarks at the toss.

The Indian skipper lost the toss and was put in to bat by the Hong Kong skipper. Rohit stated at the toss that the pitch looks good for batting and he would've liked to bowl first on the surface as well. Former Pakistani allrounder Mohammad Hafeez targeted the Indian skipper for his comments after the toss stating that "he is a confused personality right now, and his actions do not reflect what he says."

"Rohit Sharma is talking about the way we are doing this for the team. But it doesn't really happen like that and not everyone can see it. In a way, he is saying that the pitch looks good, so we have to bat first. But he also says that he wanted to bowl. Was he afraid of losing the match against Hong Kong?," Hafeez said in an interview.

Rohit Sharma becomes the second most successful Indian captain in T20Is

The Indian team posted a daunting total of 192 runs on the board after a breathtaking unbroken 98-run stand between Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav for the third wicket. Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan's expensive bowling spells were the only blemishes on an otherwise convincing night for the Men in Blue.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma overtook Virat Kohli's record of 30 T20I wins as captain of the side when the Indians defeated Hong Kong on Wednesday, taking Rohit's tally to 31 wins while leading the Indian side in the shortest format of the game. He achieved the feat in just 37 matches with a win percentage of 83.78 and is only behind MS Dhoni in the list of most successful T20I captains for India.
