Will Jacks took an outstanding catch to get rid of Gerald Coetzee in Match 11 of the SA20 2023 between the Joburg Super Kings and the Pretoria Capitals at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Tuesday, January 18. The Englishman’s incredibly well-judged catch left the onlookers and the commentators shell-shocked.
This happened during the final over of the Joburg innings which was bowled by Eathan Bosch. On the fourth delivery, Coetzee flicked a lower full toss to the leg side with the hope of clearing the stands. Even the batter had got his timing, he did not get the desired result.
Jacks' excellent effort near the boundary
At one point, it seemed that the ball would travel well over the vacant leg-side boundary. But it was not to be as an alert Will Jacks never really took his eyes off the ball till the very end and ended up completing a well-judged, but an impossible catch.
Jacks covered a lot of distance by running to his right ball-watching and in the end made a completely hopeless catch look really easy by plucking the ball at the speed of light just seconds before it ended up clearing the boundary ropes.
Will’s impossible catch left rival coach Stephen Fleming in total disbelief who was seated at the dugout.

Earlier, Will Jacks had a forgettable outing with the ball in hand as he went wicketless conceding 11 runs in the only over that he got to bowl. He was then taken off the attack.
The Englishman who had opened the innings along with his national teammate Phil Salt could only score 16 runs off 13 balls before being bowled by Alzarri Joseph in the fourth over.
