Jacques Kallis is arguably the greatest all-rounder of the modern era in international cricket. The former South Africa cricketer has over 10,000 runs and 200 plus wickets in both ODIs and Tests. Kallis bid adieu to international cricket in 2014 and now only features in the Legends League Cricket.

Recently, the 47-year-old stated in an interview that the passion for cricket in India is unmatched compared to South Africa. Kallis, who is currently a part of the commentary panel for IPL 2023, also named Chris Gayle as the funniest player in world cricket.

Kallis was asked, what does India have that South Africa doesn’t? In a rapid-fire round with Curly Tales. To which the legendary cricket replied, “The passion of how people love cricket.”

He was further asked about which three players he would pick first if he were to start his own cricket league. Kallis admitted that the question was difficult and later went on to pick Sachin Tendulkar, AB de Villiers and Wasim Akram.

The South African legend recently had his second child as his wife gave birth to a girl in April 2023. Kallis announced the birth of his girl child and shared her name ‘Chloé Grace Kallis’ with his fans.

Kallis took to Twitter and wrote, “Introducing our beautiful baby girl, Chloé Grace Kallis, born this morning at 08:37. Our tiny little princess weighing in at 2.88kg already got Daddy wrapped around her little finger. Mom & baby doing well, and Joshy is loving his little sister. Our hearts are exploding!”

Notably, the legendary cricketer is only the second player in the history of the game to have scored 5000 plus runs, picked 100 wickets and taken 100 catches in both ODIs and Tests. The former South Africa batter is the third-highest run scorer in the history of Test cricket with 13289 runs to his name from 166 matches at an average of 55.37 with 45 hundreds and 58 fifties to his name.
