On the occasion of International Left Hander’s Day, which is celebrated on August 13, former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to share a bizarre image. Widely regarded as one of the greatest batters of all time, Sachin Tendulkar was always in a league of his own.

His trademark shots were one of his most revered qualities. Compared to the likes of legends like Sir Donald Bradman, and many other great batters, Tendulkar was always destined for greatness.

Recently, the 50-year-old took to Twitter on the occasion of International Left Hander’s Day and posted a picture of the 1996 World Cup game between India and Australia. "In a parallel universe. Happy #lefthandersday!" Tendulkar tweeted.

However, in a unique twist, the picture was reversed, and as a result, Tendulkar seemed to be batting left-handed. The post has been doing the rounds across social media.

Australia defeated India by 16 runs in 1996 WC

Speaking of the 1996 World Cup game between India and Australia, both sides faced each other in the 19th game of the marquee tournament. Batting first, through the brilliant performances of openers Mark Waugh and Mark Taylor, who scored 126 and 59 runs, respectively, the Aussies posted 258 runs on the board for India to chase.

Venkatesh Prasad and Venkatapathy Raju were the highest wicket takers for India in the first innings, taking two wickets each. Furthermore, Anil Kumble took one wicket.

Aiming to chase down the target, India got off to a horrid start as opener Ajay Jadeja was sent packing for just one run. However, Sachin Tendulkar’s brilliant knock of 90 runs in 84 deliveries helped the side stabilize the innings.

Furthermore, Sanjay Manjrekar’s 62-run knock brought India within touching distance of a win. However, they fell short and only managed to score 242 runs during the run chase, losing the game by 16 runs.
