'Fills my heart with joy - Sachin Tendulkar shares wholesome video of meet with die-hard fan on road

India's love for cricket is unmatched and how people worship their cricketers is quite surreal. One of the most popular and revered Indian cricketers of all time is Sachin Tendulkar. He might have retired from international cricket in 2013, but his popularity hasn't diminished one bit. The iconic cricketer is not just worshipped by his fans for his contributions on the cricket field. In spite of his sensational achievements, Sachin has always been grounded and spared time for his fans and well-wishers.

On February 1, the legendary cricketer shared a heartwarming video of his sudden interaction with a fan on the road. The legendary cricketer was travelling in his car when he saw a fan wearing a Mumbai Indians jersey, with 'I miss you' imprinted on the back. The fan, named Harish Kumar, was riding a scooty when Sachin stopped him to have an interaction.

The overwhelmed fan folded his hands to show his respect for Sachin, who signed an autograph and even posed for a picture with him. The 50-year-old praised Harish for wearing a helmet while riding his scooty. Sachin shared the video on his official 'X' handle and talked about how special he feels when people shower him with such love.

"Sachin meets TENDULKAR. It fills my heart with joy when I see so much love showered on me. It is the love from the people that keeps coming from unexpected corners which makes life so special," Sachin wrote on X. 

"I am really happy I met my god today," said the ecstatic fan, who will surely not forget the special moment for the rest of his life.

Notably, Sachin is the highest run-getter in international cricket, having amassed 34,357 runs in 664 international matches. He also holds the record for scoring the most centuries in international cricket, having reached the three-figure mark on 100 occasions.
