Sachin Tendulkar visits bat manufacturing unit in Kashmir
In a video, Tendulkar was spotted at the MJ Sports Bat factory in Gulmarg, where the owners gave him a tour and allowed him to test out some blades.
On Wednesday, February 21, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is spending time with his family in Kashmir, visited a bat factory, the Kashmir Willow factory. Kashmir willow is a type of willow tree that is mostly grown in the Kashmir region and is well-known for its quality and resilience. Bats produced from Kashmir willow are preferred by players worldwide, especially international cricketers, due to their powerful strokes and light feel.
The Master Blaster felt sentimental and remembered receiving his first bat, a Kashmir willow, from his sister. The 50-year-old took to the micro-blogging platform and shared a video where he was spotted at the MJ Sports Bat factory in Gulmarg, where the owners gave him a tour and allowed him to test out some blades.
"The first bat given to me was by my sister and it was a Kashmir willow bat. Ab main yahan hoon to Kashmir willow ko to milna banta hai!
P.S: An interesting fact; some of my favourite bats had only about 5-6 grains. How many grains do your bats have?" Tendulkar wrote on X.

Earlier on February 21, Sachin Tendulkar shared a video capturing his in-flight journey to Kashmir. The legendary cricketer received a warm welcome from fellow passengers, who greeted him with resounding 'Sachin-Sachin' chants. The video which went viral right away perfectly conveys the unwavering love and respect that the former cricketer still gets from followers everywhere.

As Sachin steps onto the airplane, vibrant applause and chants of his name fill the air. The player waved to the spectators and thanked them with folded hands. As all of this was going on, the comment section was flooded with love for him and they complimented the cricketer for his sincerity and humility.
