Sachin Tendulkar's 50-feet long portrait by fan on legend's birthday takes internet by storm
As wishes poured from across the world for Tendulkar on his birthday, the massive portrait grabbed everyone's attention.
A die-hard Sachin Tendulkar fan from Maharasthra made a 50-feet long portrait of the legendary Indian cricketer on occassion of his 50th birthday. The portrait had the Indian tri-color in background, with Sachin's face in the center. While the Saffron colored part on top of the portrait had all of Tendulkar's national ranks and honors mentioned, the Green colored bit on the bottom had 'Happy 50th Birthday Sachin' printed.
Sachin Tendulkar has five major ranks to his name, as he was honored with the Arjuna Award in the year 1994, followed by the Khel Ratna in 1997, Padma Shri in 1999, Padma Vibhushan in 2008, and the Bharat Ratna in the year 2014.
The former India player celebrated his 50th birthday on April 24, 2023. Since making his cricket debut for India at the age of 16, Tendulkar has been unquestionably the most complete batter of all time. Tendulkar has dominated the sport for more than two decades. He played for India in 463 ODIs and 200 Test matches, totaling 18426 and 15921 runs in the formats respectively.
In December 2012, Tendulkar called his time in the 50-over format, that is the ODIs, although he kept playing the traditional format of the game for an additional year. Tendulkar ultimately bid adieu to international cricket in November 2013 after his spectacular 200th Test.
He currently is a member of the Mumbai Indians family at the Indian Premier League and mentors the current generation of players. Notably, his son Arjun Tendulkar, recently made his debut for MI in the team's game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, and contributed towards the team's victory. In his second game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the youngster managed to pick his maiden IPL wicket in the form of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
