'Shave it' - Kate Cross has hilarious advice for Heather Knight seeking help to remove holi colour from hair
England Cricketer Heather Knight celebrated Holi with her RCB teammates Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh.
The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League has kicked off in style as the foreign cricketers have lit up the competition with their marvellous performances. Apart from displaying their cricketing skills, the foreign stars have gelled with Indian players and are even getting to know the Indian culture.
Recently, England Cricketer Heather Knight celebrated the festival of colours, Holi, with her Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh on March 7(Tuesday).
After playing Holi with her teammates, Knight found it difficult to get rid of the colours from her hair and asked for a solution from her fans on her social media profile. She wrote, “Anyone know how to get pink Holi powder out of blonde hair? Asking for a friend… 🤨🤦🏼♀️.”
England cricketer Kate Cross dropped a comment on the Tweet and wrote, “Shave it….” Indian cricketer Sushma Verma suggested, “Get them black or maybe blonde powder.”
Knight has scored 64 runs in three matches of WPL so far at a strike rate of 193.93. She’s the leading wicket-taker for RCB so far having picked up four wickets at an average of 14.25.
RCB yet to win a game in WPL
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore have got off to a miserable start in the tournament losing all three matches so far. On March 8, they were up against Gujarat Giants who had also not won a single game in the tournament.
The Giants won the toss and decided to bat first and posted a massive 201/7 on the board courtesy of half-centuries from Harleen Deol and Sophia Dunkley. Dunkley scored the fastest fifty in the tournament so far, reaching the landmark in just 18 balls as she finished her innings on 65 off 28 balls while Deol scored 67 off 45 balls.
In reply, RCB’s batting was carried by Sophie Devine who scored 66 off 45 balls and became the first half-centurion for her team in WPL. In the death overs, Knight tried her best to take her team over the line with her knock of 30* off 11 balls, however, she couldn’t succeed in her task as they remained 12 runs short of the target.
