Smriti Mandhana and Virat Kohli might differ in terms of their dominant hand while batting, but surely not when it comes to consistency in delivering. Both of them possess a unique flair when it comes to strokeplay and approach to batting irrespective of the format in consideration.

Mandhana, currently preparing herself for the Women's T20 World Cup 2024, was recently in conversation with Indian television host, Jatin Sapru. In a short clip posted by Star Sports, Mandhana named Kohli as her favourite cricketer, almost as if the answer was clear as day for her. She went on reveal how a conversation with the former India cricketer helped her understand the manner of dealing with expectations and how does Kohli the same.

Kohli's reply to Mandhana's concern was quite straightforward. According to the southpaw, he explained her how he would render the expectations as non-existent and instead focus on the needs of the team. The piece of advice, Mandhana admitted, was a game-changer for her as she expressed how her mindset changed and improved for the good.

Other than the fact that both of them don the number 18 jersey, they also play for their respective Royal Challengers Bengaluru sides. Notably, Mandhana led RCB women to a historic triumph in Women's Premier League 2024, beating the Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals.
