‘Sometimes its 263, Sometimes 49’ - Virat Kohli pens motivational poetry for RCB
RCB will next take on KKR at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 6.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli went through quite a tough time last year. However, the ace batter has been among the runs of late. His recent best knock of his was an unbeaten 82 against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
The former India captain has been a source of motivation to those around him. He is now inspiring others with his words, having recently written an inspirational poem.
On Tuesday, April 4, RCB took to Twitter and shared a video of Virat Kohli in which he was seen spontaneously penning a motivational poem and reciting it during the 'RCB Insider' show. Sharing the video, the franchise captioned it, “Poetry in motion on and off the field.” Notably, the way he spoke on the show depicted his brimming confidence.
Here's what Kohli beautifully penned down:
"Fulfill your desire, ignite the fire. Bat through the tough times, sometimes it's 263 sometimes 49. Life can put you in a pickle, laugh through like it's a tickle. Whether you get a hundred or a duck, life goes on don't get stuck. There is no map ride the tide, you are your own guide," Kohli astoundingly composed this poem on the spot.
Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise posted his beautiful poetry on their Twitter handle which has been receiving a lot of appreciation and love from the fans.

Virat Kohli showcased his batting masterclass against KKR for a winning cause
Virat Kohli had a magnanimous start to IPL 2023 with RCB beating the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their opening clash of the season. Now, speaking of the 172-run chase, Kohli's blitzkrieg was thoroughly composed of sheer class and aggression. The chase master smacked six Sixes and as many boundaries in his fiery knock. It is worth mentioning that Kohli finished the game with a six as well.
The magnitude of his knock can be understood by the fact that he not only produced a match-winning knock but also stitched a crucial 148-run opening stand with skipper Faf du Plessis to set up a solid start for RCB. Notably, Plessis too notched up a blistering fifty (73 off 43 deliveries).
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will now lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 6.
