Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav's road to recovery after undergoing twin surgeries has been nothing short of inspiring, he recently posted a video on his Instagram where the star cricketer shared glimpses of his rehabilitation journey.
The 33-year-old, recently underwent sports hernia surgery following an ankle injury. He navigated through the initial stages of cautious movement to intensive training at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
Suryakumar Yadav is all set to make a return in IPL 2024
The setback came during the T20I series against South Africa last month when Yadav, a vital cog in the Indian batting lineup, suffered an ankle injury while fielding in the third T20I at the New Wanderers Stadium. Prompting him to go under surgery, marking his second procedure within a short span.

Although the consecutive surgeries required a break from competitive cricket. Reports suggested that Yadav is on track to return for the IPL 2024 season, where he will once again don the jersey of five-time champions Mumbai Indians. His comeback holds significant implications, especially considering his pivotal role in India's T20I squad gearing up for the upcoming World Cup, slated to be co-hosted by West Indies and the USA in June.
Yadav is currently the No.1 T20I batter and has been consistent in this format of the game for the Indian team for quite some time now. He has so far scored 2141 runs in 57 innings at an impressive average of 45.55, including four centuries and 17 half-centuries.

Furthermore, Yadav was even given the role of captaincy in the T20I side during a home series against Australia in 2023, followed by another stint during the South Africa tour. Under him, India won the home T20I series against Australia and drew the three-match T20I series against the Proteas.
