The India-Pakistan game of the T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 Stages has been lighting up the MCG stadium and so far, it has been nothing short of entertainment. The match has had everything happening with Rohit Sharma going emotional during the national anthem to the top edge of a ball striking the spider camera which could have been a dismissal.

A rare instance of a fan breaching security and entering the stadium took place in the final over of the first innings. This had been a common feature in the past, however, the times have changed now and the penalties have become severe. Still, India-Pakistan games have a special place in the heart of the fans and strange things can happen anytime.

The interruption from a fan helped in a way for Rohit, Hardik and Bhuvneshwar to have a chat in the middle and set the fields according to the plan. Bhuvneshwar conceded 10 runs in the final over and also picked up the wicket of Shaheen Afridi.

Meanwhile, India had a strong hold of the game until the last few overs where a lot of runs were leaked. Earlier, the Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were dismissed inside the powerplay on account of a masterclass of swing bowling. Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed stitched a fantastic partnership to get back Pakistan in the game with the fifties, however, Hardik Pandya changed things around with three quick wickets.

Some lusty hits from Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf towards the end took the total to 159 for 8 in their 20 overs. Pandya and Arshdeep both picked up three wickets for India while Bhuvneshwar and Shami picked up a wicket each. It remains to be seen how India bounces back in the game after losing their top order cheaply.
