Ahead of Team India's T20 World Cup 2024 campaign, Imagine Dragons, the world-renowned rock band, has an endearing message for the Indian team and Virat Kohli as they embark on an intense campaign for T20 glory. Lead vocalist Dan Reynolds dedicated a song from their latest album 'Loom' to Indian cricket maestro Kohli. Fans across India van watch the glimpse of the interview during the Cricket Live show of IPL 2024 finals on 26th May 2024 from 5.30 pm onwards.

Reynolds dedicated a song from their latest album ‘Loom’ to Indian cricket maestro Kohli. "If we had to dedicate a song to Virat, the GOAT, I think we'll have to dip our fingers back into our new album, 'Gods Don't Pray,' just because he's considered a God, and that would be the song for him," he told Star Sports.

The bands lead guitarist Daniel Wayne Sermon also dedicated a song to Team India for their T20 World Cup campaign, drawing inspiration from their 2013 Champions Trophy victory. Notably, India last won an international ICC event in 2013, and Daniel Sermon dedicated one of the band’s first songs to India’s campaign for this year’s T20 World Cup.

"Wow, 2013. It's been a while. I think 'It's time' has to be the one. It's time to bring that back to India. Let's go!" Sermon said. Reynolds added: "That was our first single, and ‘it's time to begin’, isn't it? It's the first line of the chorus."

Expressing their experiences visiting India recently, the band shared their admiration for the country's people, culture, and cuisine, expressing a desire to return frequently. Notably, the band recently performed at Lollapalooza on January 28 and were ecstatic with the reception they got from the Indian crowd.

"Visiting India was absolutely one of the highlights of our entire career. We've wanted to go for a long time, and to make that a reality was a dream come true, for all of us. Beautiful people, beautiful culture, the food was absolutely incredible. We certainly want to make it a habit to return back as much as possible,” Reynolds said.
