Team India recently landed in the USA to start their preparations ahead of the much-awaited T20 World Cup 2024. The first batch of players reached America and started getting the hang of the weather conditions and different time zones in a country where they haven't played much cricket. India will play a warm-up match against Bangladesh on June 1 before starting their campaign in the marquee event on June 5 against Ireland.

With still a few days remaining for the tournament, the players explored the city as they were spotted taking strolls on the streets of Times Square and clicking pictures with the fans. The local Indian fans managed to click snippets of the Men in Blue in the USA as cricket enthusiasts got a sneak-peak as to what the players have been up to in the lead-up to the 20-team competition.

Recently, a video has been watched and rewatched on the internet, featuring the Indian team's captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid in casual avatars. A fan anxiously awaited a photo with the two legendary cricketers, but it was raining heavily in New York. Rohit and Dravid waited patiently before signalling the car driver to bring the cab nearby. They sprinted to the car amid the torrential rain and the unlucky fan couldn't get the photo he wanted. However, seeing the two icons of Indian cricket from such a close range is a cherishable moment in itself.

The inaugural champions had their first training session before their warm-up game against Bangla Tigers in New York. A bright sunny day greeted the players in the practice session as Hardik Pandya also joined the Indian team from London.

Rohit, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik shared pictures from their first training session in the USA. Till now, only the first batch of Indian players has reached, as the remaining players, including Virat Kohli, will land in America in a couple of days. The former India captain did not accompany the first batch of Indian players after being given a short break by the BCCI.
