'Thank you for believing in this boy' - Dhruv Jurel thanks Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid after fourth Test win
Dhruv Jurel emerged as Player of the Match in India's fourth Test in Ranchi.
India's batting sensation Dhruv Jurel thanked Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid for showing faith in him following their five-wicket win in the fourth Test against England at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi, on Monday, February 26. With this win, India took an unassailable lead of 3-1 against the Ben Stokes-led side.
During the fourth innings of the Ranchi Test, Jurel shone with 39 runs and also formed an unbeaten 72-run stand with Shubman Gill (52*). Interestingly, his match-winning performance helped the 23-year-old to win the Player of the Match award.
Notably, later in the evening, Jurel took to social media domain and shared photos of himself being hugged by Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma while showing gratitude towards the coach-captain duo for backing him when he needed it the most.

India beat England by five wickets in fourth Test
India secured the series after winning the Test match by five wickets after chasing 192 in the second innings. Rohit Sharma (55) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (37) added an 84-run opening partnership before the latter was dismissed by Joe Root on Day 4. After dismissals from Sarfaraz Khan and Ravindra Jadeja on consecutive deliveries, India found themselves in a precarious situation at 120/5. But Dhruv Jurel and Shubman Gill maintained their composure and, with a 72-run partnership, they helped India cross the line.
England scored 353 runs after opting to bat first, with Root scoring an unbeaten 122 runs. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja and Akash Deep were the pick of bowlers for India, who finished with figures of 4/67 and 3/83, respectively. Meanwhile, Jaiswal continued his stellar form despite India's poor start in the first innings, smashing 73 off 117 deliveries. Later, India reached 307 runs thanks to a hard-hit 90-run knock from Jurel, who came to bat at No. 7.
Following that, Ravichandran Ashwin (5/51) and Kuldeep Yadav's (4/22) magnificent spell made things easier for the hosts as they bundled out the hosts for 145 runs. Zak Crawley top-scored for his side in their second innings, scoring 60 from just 91 deliveries. The team led by Brendon McCullum relied heavily on Shoaib Bashir, who took five and three wickets, respectively, across the innings.
