'Thanking God in every breath I take' - Rishabh Pant grateful after Delhi Capitals’ second win in IPL 2024

Critics speculated whether the burden of captaincy was too heavy for Pant, but the young captain silenced them with a stellar performance. Pant not only led his team from the front but also played a decisive innings, guiding his team to victory.
Expressing his gratitude on social media, Pant wrote, "Thanking God in every breath I take. Delighted to win this one. We move ahead," capturing the relief and joy of the victory.
Struggling initially against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, Pant found his form against Chennai Super Kings, scoring a crucial fifty that secured Delhi's first win of the season. The tide turned with the triumph over Lucknow Super Giants. Restricting LSG to 167 runs, thanks to commendable bowling efforts, Delhi chased down the target with ease, led by Pant's 41 and Jake Fraser-McGurk's impressive 55.

Reflecting on the victory, Pant emphasized Pant reflected on the team's victory, highlighting their resilience and determination. He expressed relief at the win, emphasizing the team's desire for success. Despite facing challenges like injuries, Pant remained optimistic, urging his teammates to maintain a champion's mindset and continue fighting hard.

"Little relief, we wanted a win badly. I was talking to the boys saying we need to think like champions, we need to keep fighting hard. (On bowling) We have phases where we are not up to the mark, some individuals have to take responsibility for that. However, we stick together as a group. Some things you can control, some things we can't. (On team combination) I think we are getting closer to the right XI, but we've had so many injuries in this group. However, you can't keep complaining about that. (On Fraser-McGurk) Hopefully, we've found our new number 3, haven't thought too much about it. Hope he can continue," Pant said in the post-match presentation.
