Two of India's greatest cricketing icons, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli were recently spotted together attending a spiritual satsang in New York City. This rare sighting of the batting legends comes in the middle of India's ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 campaign in the United States and the West Indies.

The image of Kohli and Tendulkar was shared by renowned sports and host of the famous show 'What the Duck' Vikram Sathaye. The picture of the three along with another journalist Sunandan Lele quickly went viral across social media handles.

"Satsang with the combined energy of 185 plus international hundreds ❤️. I covered by bald bead because I didn’t want to disturb the halo & energy," Sathaye captioned his post.

Virat Kohli is yet to make a mark in T20 World Cup 2024

Notably, the former India legend Sachin Tendulkar is currently in the United States for the marquee event and was present for the blockbuster clash between India and Pakistan, which India won by a narrow margin of six runs.

This was Kohli and Tendulkar's first public appearance together since the 2023 ODI World Cup semi-final where Kohli surpassed Tendulkar's long-standing record for most one-day international centuries. After scoring his 50th ODI ton in that match, Kohli bowed down to his mentor in an emotional tribute.

Virat Kohli is going to have a tough start to his new role as an opener in the T20 World Cup. Despite a brilliant IPL season, where the 35-year-old was the highest run-scorer with 741 runs, Kohli has fallen for single-digit scores in India's first two World Cup matches against Ireland and Pakistan.

However, the Men in Blue are expected to stick with the in-form Kohli at the top of the order when they take on the USA on June 12, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. A win would confirm their qualification for the Super Eights phase.
