India captain Rohit Sharma will be leading his troops in the Champions Trophy 2025 Final versus New Zealand on Sunday, March 09 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. His team is entering the finals on the back of unbeatable performances in the league stage, followed by the semifinal victory against Australia at the same venue.

Each of the game has seen different players from the Indian side step up to the occasion to help the team win crucial games in the eight-team tournament. However, Rohit himself hasn't had the best of the tournaments from a batter's perspective. In four innings so far, the Hitman has scored only 104 runs at an average of 26.00 with the highest score of 41.

Despite this, the star batter has received well wishes from a cute six-year-old kid for the upcoming clash, as Rohit would want to lead from the front. The little girl is seen predicting Rohit Sharma to score hundred runs, while also picking India as the ultimate winners for the coveted silverware, in a video uploaded by Mumbai Cricket Association on 'X', also known as Twitter.

Rohit Sharma's ODI batting stats versus New Zealand

The Nagpur-born has faced the Kiwis in 28 innings so far, and his numbers aren't great when compared to his overall stats in the format. In fact, his average of 36.92 against New Zealand is his second-lowest against full-member nations, which clearly indicates that he has lagged to come good against the opposition for Sunday's clash.

However, the India captain does hold the opportunity to complete the 1000-run landmark against New Zealand in the upcoming game, as he currently has 997 runs, which includes two centuries and five half-centuries as well. If the 37-year-old is able to score three more runs, New Zealand will be the fourth team he completes 1000-plus runs against, after Australia (2407 runs), Sri Lanka (2021 runs), and West Indies (1613 runs).
