Australian pacer and Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) new skipper Pat Cummins has been the absolute standout player for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The pacer was roped in by the franchise for a whopping INR 20.5 crore and was instantly made captain for the IPL 2024 (Indian Premier League) season.

Under his leadership, Hyderabad has significantly improved since the IPL 2023. With three wins in five matches, the side currently finds itself in fifth place in the standings with six points to its name.

It is worth noting that Cummins has done an impeccable job of justifying his huge price tag in the IPL so far. Leading his side to three wins out of five, Cummins has impressed with the ball as well. Taking six wickets to his name, the skipper has been leading from the front.

The performances and on-field tactics have caused the supporters to become huge fans of Pat Cummins. In a recent clip which has been going viral all over X (formerly known as Twitter), an SRH fan was seen worshipping Pat Cummins through their TV, even lighting an aarti to his name.

“Captain Sirr, We Love you anna,” the fan tweeted.

SRH take on RCB next

Speaking of Sunrisers Hyderabad, the 2016 champions will now be travelling to Bengaluru as they take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in the 30th game of the tournament on April 15. After winning their previous game, Hyderabad will be keen on maintaining their winning run and registering their fourth win of the season.

On the other hand, things are not so similar for RCB. Led by Faf du Plessis, the side finds itself on the wrong end of the standings. With two points in five matches, RCB have only managed to win one match and have lost the remaining four. Taking on SRH in Bengaluru could prove to be a daunting task. However, the side will aim to take advantage of their home surroundings and register their second win.
