During the recent SA20 clash between Durban's Super Giants (DSG) and Pretoria Capitals (PC) at Durban, a fan earned a huge sum of money after plucking a one-handed stunner during the game which earned him a whopping INR 45 lakh (1 million South African Rand), making headlines worldwide.

The incident occurred during DSG's innings when Kane Williamson smashed a massive six off Eathan Bosch's slower delivery in the 17th over. The ball flew into the stands, and a fan’s brilliant reflexes turned a routine six into a life-changing moment. As part of the sponsor's "Catch a Million" competition, this one-handed catch made the fan significantly wealthier.

According to the competition's rules, spectators aged 18 and above who make a clean one-handed catch off a six are awarded a share of one million rand. But if the participant is a sponsor's client the prize money doubles.

Meanwhile, on the field, the game began with DSG opting to bat first after winning the toss and putting up a strong total of 209/4, thanks to Kane Williamson’s unbeaten 60 and Wiaan Mulder’s unbeaten quick-fire knock of 45 runs. The duo continued the onslaught after a quick start by Bryce Parsons (47 off 28) and Matthew Breetzke (33 off 20).

In reply, PC opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz hammered 89 runs off 43 deliveries and stitched a huge partnership with Will Jacks (64 off 35). The pair added 154 runs for the first wicket and made the game look one-sided. However, the Capitals witnessed a batting collapse after a brilliant start, as they lost six wickets for just 41 runs, falling short at 207/6. Chris Woakes and Noor Ahmad's impressive bowling spells made sure the side made a remarkable comeback, leading to a narrow two-run victory.
