However, one moment which stood out from the one-sided encounter came in the fourth over of the second innings bowled by Bilal. The right-arm seamer bowled from over the wicket to right-handed Pakistani batter Asif Ali. The ball came in with the angle and Ali missed his pull to get only a single. Meanwhile, umpire Nigel Llong almost immediately stretched his right hand to signal a no-ball.
When the replays were shown, it took one of the commentators by surprise as Bilal had overstepped by a massive margin. The commentator found it hard to believe that Bilal had erred so much with his front foot. To add insult to injury, the following free hit was hit for a six by Donovan Ferreira. Former India opener Aakash Chopra shared a video of the incident on his official social media handle.
Bilal, who has played seven ODIs for UAE, bowled only one only and conceded nine runs. His bizarre no-ball has sent shockwaves through the cricket fraternity as some raised concerns of spot-fixing. The 36-year-old took the wicket of opener Zeeshan Abid earlier in the over but the no-ball tainted his bowling efforts. Former Australia opener David Warner also shared a photo of the incident, showing he was as shocked as Chopra.
