The Indian team landed in Durban ahead of their upcoming four-match T20I series against South Africa. After the humiliating 0-3 whitewash at home against New Zealand, India will look to give their fans something to cheer about when they return to the format in which they are the current world champions.

The Suryakumar Yadav-led side got their tour underway by testing each other's general knowledge about the rainbow nation. Abhishek Sharma and Axar Patel asked their teammates factual and subjective questions during their journey.

The Q&A sessions kicked off with Abhishek asking Tilak Verma“Is South Africa the only country with three capitals in the world?” and ended with, “Does Axar Patel have the loudest laugh in the squad?”.

The first T20I will be played at Kingsmead in Durban on November 8, followed by the second at St George's Park, Gqeberha on November 10. The third and fourth games will be played at SuperSports Park in Centurion and the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on November 13 and 15, respectively.

India's form in T20Is after World Cup triumph

After winning the T20 World Cup 2024 in June, India embarked on a tour to Zimbabwe, where they played five T20I against the African nation. After losing the first game, the Men in Blue bounced back strongly to win the series 4-1.

Their subsequent T20I assignment was a three-match series against Sri Lanka in the Island Nation in July. Suryakumar and Co. completed a clean sweep, winning the series 3-0. In their most recent T20I series, India eased past Bangladesh in their own backyard, winning all the three games played between the two sides. It is safe to say that India have been the side to beat in the shortest format of the game this year.
