Ishan Kishan remains unbeaten on a score of 106 off 47 deliveries in the match against Rajasthan Royals.
Star wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan made his Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) debut count in IPL 2025 with his maiden century in the tournament. One of the biggest highlights of the innings was his three towering sixes off Jofra Archer in the 13th over of the innings, where he showed the fans a range of some unbelievable shots.
Kishan remained unbeaten in his innings of 106, getting to the score off just 47 deliveries at the end of the first innings. His knock consisted of 11 fours and half a dozen of sixes. This was the perfect start for the 26-year-old southpaw who played a huge role in his team getting to a total of 286-6 which is the second-highest total in IPL history. SRH were just one run short of the highest total which was made by them in the last season against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
The three sixes of Jofra Archer were absolute magic from Kishan which were scored on the first three deliveries itself. Kishan hit the first six with a pickup shot over the keeper's head which was almost like his former MI teammate Suryakumar Yadav’s signature shot. The next two sixes were a combination of class and power, as he times the two inside-out shots over cover with perfection.

This was an important innings for Kishan who has been missing from the limelight for some time where he was not only released by the Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2025 auction but also lost his central contract and has not played an international match for India since November 2023 against Australia.
Kishan will be hoping he continues playing brilliant knocks like this and eventually get his career back on track. It has been a journey full of ups and downs for Kishan and this tournament can be a chance for him to get the attention of the selectors.
