Axar Patel cleaned Mohammad Rizwan with a yorker.
In just 9.2 overs, Pakistan was struggling with just 47 runs and having lost two wickets in the process. Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel joined hands to get Pakistan out of the troubled waters. The duo respected good deliveries and scored boundaries on loose ones. The partnership was becoming a headache for Indian players and it was Axar Patel who delivered the much-needed breakthrough
Rizwan was batting on 46 off 76 and bowling the 34th over, Axar Patel cleaned him. He shimmies down the wicket to launch the ball into the stands, but Axar bowled a yorker. Rizwan did not put his bat down and his timbers were rattled. This was India's all-rounder’s first wicket of the game and later went on to claim Saud Shakeel.

Ahead of the on-field action, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. India captain Rohit Sharma had anticipated that the pitch would be the same as the first game. And he asserted the same at the toss. While India went with an unchanged squad, Pakistan entered with a forced change as Fakhar Zam got injured in the last game and Imam Ul Haq replaced him.

“Doesn't really matter, they won the toss so we'll bowl first. Looks similar to the last game, the surface is on the slower side. We have an experienced unit in batting so we know what we need to do if the pitches get slower. Need an overall performance from the team - with bat and ball. The last game wasn't an easy one for us, which is always nice. You want to be under pressure and test yourself. We are playing the same team,” said Rohit.
