The following month will witness the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which will begin on March 22. One of the teams the fans will be looking forward to seeing is five-time champions Mumbai Indians who have unveiled their new jersey for the 2025 season which shows some new and exciting associated partners.

The video included some of the biggest stars in the MI franchise apart from Hardik like their former captain Rohit Sharma, ace-pacer Jasprit Bumrah, T20 star Suryakumar Yadav and young and upcoming Southpaw Tilak Varma. The jersey has some new sponsors as well where they also have a new official kit partner- 'Sketchers.' In the video, Pandya also reflected on the horrible season and sent a heartfelt message to the fans as well.

“Dear Paltan, 2025 is our opportunity to bring the legacy where it belongs. With the blue & gold on us, we will take the field to Play like Mumbai. This is not just our jersey. This is a promise to you. Chala bhetu, Wankhede la (Let’s meet at Wankhede)!" Pandya said in the jersey reveal video.

The franchise made a big change last season by giving leadership to Hardik Pandya leading to a lot of negative remarks from the fans and experts. This change did not lead to any positive outcome since the team finished at the bottom of the table as well. Surprisingly the franchise has stuck to keeping the star all-rounder as the skipper for the upcoming tournament and has also released a video releasing their new jersey.

Speaking of the last season the Mumbai Indians could only manage four wins from the 14 games they played. Their highest run scorer was Rohit Sharma who made 417 runs at an average of 32.07 and a strike rate of 150. In the bowling department, their highest wicket-taker was Jasprit Bumrah who took 20 wickets at an average of 16.80 and an economy of 6.48.
