Harmanpreet Kaur had missed the first game due to a niggle but made a comeback in the second ODI.
India Women took on New Zealand in the second ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, October 27. The visiting skipper won the toss and opt to bat. The visitors were cruising in the powerplay having 46 runs without losing any wicket. Their openers Suzie Bates and Georgia Plimmer were all set and ready to go big, unless Radha Yadav pulled Plimmer back.
Deepti Sharma was bowling the 16th over of the innings and bowled an off-cutter on good length to Plimmer on middle and leg. The right-handed batter tried to flick it and did not get the major part of the bat. The ball flew to the right of Radha and she displayed great athleticism to pluck the ball as Plimmer walked back, scoring 41 off 50 balls.
