Rishabh Pant and Khaleel Ahmed share a strong camaraderie, a fact well-known to all.
In a humorously entertaining video captured during the T20 World Cup 2024 in America and recently released on social media platforms, a comical incident involving wicketkeeper-batter, Rishabh Pant, and left-arm pacer, Khaleel Ahmed, has come to light.
In the video, Pant and Khaleel were seen strolling towards a nearby beach, accompanied by a trailing security guard and a foreign guide who engaged in conversation with them. What began as friendly banter between Khaleel and Pant took a humorous turn when Khaleel playfully attempted to embrace Pant from behind, only to be prodded into a nearby swimming pool.

Caught off guard and off balance, Khaleel had no choice but to plunge into the water, leaving Pant in fits of laughter and Khaleel visibly amused and puzzled by the unexpected turn of events.
Pant amassed 171 runs across eight matches during the marquee event, maintaining a strike rate of 127.61. However, his performances faltered against Australia (15 in the Super 8s), England (four in the semi-final), and South Africa (a duck in the final). Khaleel was selected as a reserve player, poised to serve as an emergency backup for any member of the 15-player squad.
Pant was rested along with senior players for the recently concluded five-match T20I series in Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, Khaleel participated in the series and in the three T20Is he played, secured three wickets with an economy rate of 6.81.

Pant is slated to return to action against Sri Lanka in three T20Is and as many ODIs, commencing on July 27, 2024. He would be aiming to excel across formats and deliver noteworthy performances for the national team, akin to his standout IPL 2024 campaign where he accumulated a commendable 446 runs in 13 innings.
