Indian dressing room was all in celebrations after winning the ICC Champions Trophy after 12 years.
India won the Champions Trophy 2025 after defeating New Zealand in the final in Dubai on Sunday, March 9. Celebrations broke out all across India and at the stadium. Not least, the players enjoyed the moment to the fullest, too. Skipper Rohit Sharma, in a happy dressing room alongside other players, celebrated the victory by cutting a cake, and in true team spirit, Virat Kohli and others ensured everyone had a piece, smearing cake on each other’s faces.
In the video shared by BCCI, the dressing room was seen filled with unfiltered joy—players signing each other’s T-shirts, hugging, and reliving their victory. Also in the video one could see that, Shubman Gill’s father, overwhelmed with pride, ran onto the field and hugged his son. His joy was evident as he later joined Arshdeep Singh and Rishabh Pant to break a leg, celebrating India's triumph. The camaraderie between the players and their families was heartwarming to watch, showcasing the deep emotional connection behind their success.
Meantime, a lucky fan managed to click pictures with Ravindra Jadeja and his family, cherishing a moment with the star all-rounder. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma shared their own intimate moments, reflecting on the hard-fought journey that led to this win. In between the chaos, KL Rahul was spotted signing a T-shirt for a fan, making them cherish the moment.
Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper gathered his wife and daughter for a special family photograph, capturing the essence of this victory beyond the cricket field. Virat Kohli, in a beautiful gesture, took blessings from Mohammed Shami’s mother and posed for pictures with her.

This Champions Trophy victory was India's third after being joint-winners in 2002 and outright winners in 2013. India came close to winning the trophy twice before, against New Zealand in 2000 and Pakistan in 2017, but lost the respective final match.
