Watch: Sakshi Dhoni touches MS Dhoni’s feet on his 43rd birthday

Former legendary India skipper MS Dhoni is celebrating his 43rd birthday today. Dhoni is the only captain in the world to have won all three ICC white-ball trophies. The former skipper was seen having a jolly time in a clip of the celebrations shared by MSD’s wife on Instagram.

In the clip, Dhoni can be seen cutting the cake. However, the moment that garnered the most attention from the fans was when Sakshi Dhoni was seen touching MS Dhoni’s feet.  

She even folded her hands before the former skipper. In the clip, Dhoni was also seen asking if the cake was eggless, for his vegetarian friends. “Happy Birthday @mahi7781,” Sakshi Dhoni captioned the post.

Salman Khan celebrates MSD’s birthday with him

To further establish Dhoni’s stature in the country, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was also captured celebrating Dhoni’s birthday. In a clip that has been going viral all over the internet, Salman Khan can be seen feeding Dhoni his birthday cake. 

The actor took to Instagram as well to share glimpses of the moment. “Happy Birthday Kaptaan Sahab! @mahi7781,” Salman Khan captioned the post. There is no doubt that Dhoni is one of the biggest players in world cricket. 

Having retired internationally in 2020, Dhoni continues to dominate the domestic cricket scene. After leading Chennai Super Kings to yet another IPL title in 2023, Dhoni played another season of the tournament in 2024.

However, the 17th edition of the tournament did not prove to be fruitful for Chennai Super Kings. The side was eliminated in the group stages of the tournament after subpar performances under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad. With the IPL 2025 on the horizon, fans are yet to know whether Dhoni will feature for CSK in the 18th edition of the IPL.
