Pakistan’s horrors in the field continued on Day 2 of the ongoing second Test between both sides as Saud Shakeel dropped a simple catch against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi.
It is worth noting that batting first, Pakistan posted a total of 274 runs in the first innings and Shakeel was presented with the chance to get his side an early breakthrough when Bangladesh came out to bat.
As Mir Hamza bowled the first delivery of the innings, Bangladesh opener Shadman Islam edged the ball to fifth slip. However, Saud Shakeel failed to take the catch. The commentators did not miss out in stating that it was a regulation catch, and match umpire Richard Kettleborough also went viral for his reaction.

The clip of the same has been going viral all over social media. Speaking of the game between Pakistan and Bangladesh, the clash began with the hosts coming in to bat first and losing Abdullah Shafique for a duck.
However, after the opener’s early dismissal, Saim Ayub and Shan Masood stabilised the innings and scored 58 and 57 runs, respectively. Babar Azam scored 31 runs in 77 deliveries, with Saud Shakeel adding 16 runs onto the scoreboard.

Furthermore, Mohammad Rizwan scored 29 runs, with Salman Agha adding 54 runs onto the scoreboard as Pakistan managed to post a total of 274 runs in the first innings. As for Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the highest wicket-taker for his side in the first innings with five wickets to his name; Taskin Ahmed took three wickets, with Nahid Rana and Shakib Al Hasan taking one wicket each.
Having lost the first Test, Pakistan have been hoping to heavily improve and finish the series with a tie. On the other hand, if Bangladesh manage to topple Pakistan once more, they will clinch the series outrightly.
