The supreme Indian cricket governing body BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), recently announced the Indian squad for the upcoming mega event, Champions Trophy 2025. The marquee tournament is all set to be held in Pakistan and the UAE and will kick off on February 19

With the Indian squad announcement, much to the fans’ delight, star India pacer Mohammed Shami was also included. It is worth noting that Shami has been out of contention for playing since the ODI World Cup 2023 final, and finally having made his comeback through domestic cricket, the fans are gearing up to witness one of India’s premier pace bowlers in action once more.

Ahead of his comeback, the BCCI took to social media and shared a clip where Mohammed Shami was seen flying kites and talking about his comeback.

"When you are young, our parents teach us how to walk - we fall, we rise - but we never give up learning how to walk - we should never give up that Hunger - even if we fail, we have to get up & walk again - same applies to Sports - if you get injured, you have to make a comeback for your team & country," said Shami in a video shared by BCCI on its website

"The real test is to realise who is with you during tough times - I waited for an entire year & worked very hard - there was a sense of fear ever while running, it's difficult for any player - to get injured after being in full flow, go to NCA for rehab and then make a comeback," Shami concluded.
