Rajasthan Royals' (RR) preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season are in full swing. However, all eyes are on their youngest player, Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The 13-year-old batting prodigy displayed his impressive power-hitting skills during one of the practice sessions.

Suryavanshi made headlines when he became the youngest cricketer ever to be picked at an IPL auction as the Royals acquired him for INR 1.1 crore. His inclusion in the squad has made him one of the players to watch out for. Meanwhile, during RR’s practice session, the Southpaw showcased his aggressive style of batting, hitting multiple deliveries over the boundary ropes.

Vaibhav looks very confident: Sanju Samson

RR management and teammates have been vocal about creating a supportive environment for the youngster, ensuring he adapts well to IPL cricket. Captain Sanju Samson, also expressed his admiration for the youngster’s batting abilities.

“Vaibhav looks very confident; he was hitting sixes out of the ground at the Rajasthan Royals Academy. People were already talking about his power-hitting. What else can you ask for? It’s all about understanding his strengths, backing him and being there for him like an elder brother. We (at Rajasthan Royals) ensure a positive atmosphere in the dressing room and back our players… I feel he is ready for the IPL. He looks capable of landing a few solid punches here and there," Sanju Samson said on a special show on JioHotstar.

Meanwhile, the Bihar batter has already represented India Under-19 and has hammered a ton while opening the batting against Australia Under-19 in a four-day game in Chennai last year. He has so far featured in five first-class games, scoring 100 runs. The highlight of his career so far came when he hit a century against Australia U-19, which came off just 58 balls. That knock made him the youngest player to score a century in youth cricket.
