India registered a four-wicket win in the semi-final clash of the 2025 Champions Trophy against Australia at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, March 4.

Hardik Pandya played a fantastic cameo in the closing stages of the match. He came out to the crease after Virat Kohli was dismissed for a brilliant 84 off 98 balls. India needed 40 runs off 44 balls at that stage, with five wickets left in the tank.

Hardik took very little time to get accustomed to the conditions, which were not really very easy for batting. The Baroda all-rounder hit one six against Tanveer Sangha and two in a row off Adam Zampa.

The Choryasi-born not only got the crowd off their feet with his lusty blows but also made Kohli celebrate euphorically.

Hardik was eventually dismissed in the 48th over by Nathan Ellis in the attempt of hitting another six to seal the match for India. Hardik's knock ended for a 24-ball 28, hitting three sixes and one boundary. The Asian giants needed six runs at that stage.

KL Rahul eventually took India to victory as he smashed a monstrous six off Glenn Maxwell in the 49th over.

Virat Kohli misses out on 83rd century

Kohli played a spectacular knock after Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma were dismissed inside the first powerplay. The former India skipper formed a remarkable partnership with Shreyas Iyer of 91 runs.

Kohli was eventually dismissed by Zampa when he got down on one leg in an attempt to play a slog over cow corner. However, he found Ben Dwarshuis, who was stationed at long-on.
