Five-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians finally got off the mark in this year's tournament after the hard-hitting pair of Tim David and Cameron Green got their side home in a last-ball thriller against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday, April 11. Tim David, who put in a heroic dive on the last ball of the match to secure Mumbai's victory, shared a hilarious post via his Instagram handle after the win.

With five runs needed off the final over of the match, Mumbai Indians were favourites, especially with the presence of two powerful hitters, Tim David and Cameron Green, at the crease. However, Anrich Nortje did not afford an inch to the two Aussie batters in a sensational display of death bowling. However, David sneaked a couple off the final delivery, requiring him to produce a full-length dive, securing the visitors' victory.

Following his heroic dive in the match, the towering cricketer shared a hilarious post on Instagram, quoting, 'If you need 5 off 6, we are your men." Mumbai Indians opener Ishan Kishan enjoyed the post from his teammate, while Australian opener Usman Khawaja also commented on the post.

Rohit Sharma's sizzling half-century lifts Mumbai to first victory

This was Mumbai's first victory of the tournament after losing both their previous fixtures. The win was set up by skipper Rohit Sharma's brisk half-century at the top of the order, his first in IPL since 2021. Young batting bulwark Tilak Varma also played a lovely hand to bring the Mumbai-based franchise to the cusp of victory before the visitors lost a flurry of quick wickets in the death overs.
Even though Rohit Sharma's side claimed a victory in the hard-fought contest, Suryakumar Yadav's rut with the bat continued as he was dismissed for yet another golden duck, his fourth in his last six innings. They will be back in Mumbai to take on Kolkata Knight Riders in their next fixture.
