Star India Women's batter Jemimah Rodrigues on Friday, June 23, shared a heartwarming photo with Arjun Tendulkar on her Instagram profile. In the caption, the cricketer spoke about their special relationship. She revealed that the duo has been playing cricket together for over a decade.

Notably, the picture was taken after their batting session as both players are gearing up for the upcoming high-voltage season. Hence, the star entertainer off the pitch fondly remembered her days of her early cricketing days. Interestingly enough, she also seems to be a fan of the renowned Barcelona football club as she posed for the image wearing a jersey of the Spanish club.

"From U12 days till now... We've come a long way," Rodrigues wrote in her post.

Meanwhile, towards the end of the month or beginning of July, Jemimah along with her national teammates will fly to Bangladesh for a three-match T20I and ODI series. Notably, this will be the first time since the T20 World Cup in South Africa that the team will hit the field and it needs to be seen how fit or prepared they are, as these players haven’t played any competitive game since the conclusion of the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League in March.

On top of that, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will also host Australia for a one-off Test match towards the fag end of the year. Thus, they will also have to keep up with their fitness as the match against the Meg Lanning-led side can prove to be a gruelling affair. Australia, the number-one ranked team in the world batted brilliantly in the first innings of the one-off Test against England and thus, India should be ready to fight hard against the side. Thus, fitness will be very key, to say the least.

Arjun Tendulkar has been training under Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh

On the other hand, Arjun will be looking to get better and have a good domestic season, which can help him to secure his place in the Mumbai Indians squad, next year. Under the former India cricketer, Yuvraj Singh's father, Yograj Singh, the all-rounder improved massively last year, but there still remains a lot of room for improvement. Notably, the 23-year-old has played 27 domestic matches so far in his career, picking up 35 wickets in the process. Jemimah meanwhile played 101 matches for the national team, scoring 2098 runs.
