'Your legacy will inspire one and all' - Sachin Tendulkar pays tribute to Ravichandran Ashwin

Tributes are pouring in for Ravichandran Ashwin after he announced his retirement from international cricket today. Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar praised the veteran off-spinner with a heartfelt post on social media talking about his 14-year journey in international cricket.
Ravichandran Ashwin played his last game for India in Adelaide which was the second Test of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy. After being left out of the Gabba Test and probably informed of the possible team combination for the remaining two Tests, Ashwin decided to retire immediately.
Tendulkar praised the Chennai-born spinner highly, saying that the offie always found out ways to bamboozle batters. He also added that Ashwin's greatness laid in not being afraid to experiment.
“Ashwin, I’ve always admired how you approached the game with your mind and heart in perfect sync. From perfecting the carrom ball to contributing crucial runs, you always found a way to win.

A glimpse into Ashwin’s incredible career
There is no doubt that it is Test cricket where Ashwin has had more successful stints in his International career with 537 wickets and 3503 runs in the 106 games he has played. Apart from that, his white-ball statistics has been commendable as well with 156 wickets in ODIs and 72 wickets in T20Is. The 38-year-old was part of the Indian sides which won the 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy.
Ashwin is the third-highest Indian wicket-taker in T20s (310). It is safe to say that he has had success in all formats of the game.
