Zim Afro T10 2024 player draft on September 8

The impending draft will allow teams to procure some local talents to fill in their required 15-member squad.

The second season of Zim Afro T10 Cup is scheduled to begin on September 21 in Harare. The organisers have announced that the draft of the same will be held on September 8 and will be live streamed on the tournament's official YouTube channel. Six teams will fight for glory in the novice tournament and the respective teams have gone about with the signings of icon and global star. 

The impending draft will allow teams to procure some local talents to fill in their required 15-member squad. It also provides the privilege of having another icon player as the 16th player other than already signed ones. The cap for the local players is based at six per team, while the icon and global players can also be from Zimbabwe.

Speaking of some international cricketer attractions, Bulawayo Braves Jaguars have signed former Australia cricketer David Warner and star West Indies batter Carlos Brathwaite. England pacer David Willey and batter Dawid Malan have joined the ranks of Cape Town Samp Army while the team has also inked a deal with Afghanistan’s Gulbadin Naib and Qais Ahmed. 

The league will witness Kiwis in action in the form of Colin Munro and Mark Chapman, as they will wear Durban Wolves jersey. Wolves have also fetched players from Pakistan as Sharjeel Khan and Yasir Shah will make their presence felt.
