The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly reacted to the latest Instagram post of his former teammate Virender Sehwag. Ganguly heaped praises on the show ‘Viru Ki Baithak’ presented by Sehwag during IPL 2020 season. The former batsman came with an interesting show on his social media handles where he shared his expert analysis on pre-match and post-match events. The show became a hit thing among the netizens due to the way of presentation style by Sehwag.

The former Indian opener came up with his views on teams and players with his witty style fused while presenting. Talking highly of the show, Ganguly called it to be one of the reasons behind the high ratings of IPL 2020. The BCCI chief also lauded Sehwag for his fitness and left a comment for him in the comments zone.

IPL 2020 was entirely staged in UAE owing to rising COVID-19 cases in India. The tournament was played in the strict bio-secure bubble, and stringent BCCI health protocols were in place. The much-awaited T20 league was expected to get on-field during March 2020 but was postponed for April 15. However, in view of the COVID-19 menace, the fancy league got postponed indefinitely.

It finally came on the floor on September 19 in UAE and got concluded successfully on November 10. Mumbai Indians lifted the trophy yet again to steal the glory for the record fifth time in the history of IPL. IPL 2020 saw a remarkable hike in its viewership by 28 percent as compared to the 2019 season. The views skyrocketed for IPL as fans didn’t get to witness a single cricketing action for months.

IPL 2020 continued to dominate the BARC rating charts and was labelled as one of the top-rated programs in India. Though it was played behind closed doors, it received enormous love and support from fans across the world. It also turned out to be the most competitive season as all the teams bagged at least 12 points in their account. The final three teams making it to playoffs also got decided on the penultimate and final day of the league days.
