India recorded their maiden ODI series win on the South African soil with a convincing 73-run win in the 5th ODI and will look to end the series with a 5-1 lead. Rohit Sharma scoring runs in the previous game will boost the visitors’ top order but the middle order’s inconsistency remains their major concern. The home team will be hoping to give their best and bring down the series margin to 2-4 and take some confidence into the 3-match T20I series.

All the stats and numbers to look out ahead of the final match of the ODI series:

2 – Only twice India won more than four matches in a bilateral ODI series outside. India whitewashed Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka in 2013 and 2017 respectively in the 5-match ODI series.

4 – Number of matches South Africa lost in this series so far. If South Africa lose in the 6th ODI too, it will be only the second time they will lose as five matches in an ODI series at home. South Africa lost to Australia 1-5 in the 7-match ODI series in 2002.

6Rohit Sharma scored at least one century in each of the six ODI series/tournaments he played since his return from an injury in June 2017. He scored at least one hundred in 11 of the last 13 ODI series/tournaments he played.

6.77 – Average run-rate for first batting teams in the last six day/night ODI games at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. In the last six D/N ODIs at this venue, the teams batting first posted 300+ on five occasions.

16Kuldeep Yadav’s 16 wickets are the most for a visiting player in a bilateral ODI series in South Africa while Yuzvendra Chahal’s 14 wickets are the 2nd most. South Africa’s Craig Matthews is the only other player to bag 14 and more wickets in a bilateral series in South Africa. He took 17 wickets against Australia in the 1994 8-match series.

100.5 – Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s bowling average in this ODI series. He conceded 201 runs in the 33 overs he bowled this series and took only two wickets.

599 – Number of catches for MS Dhoni as wicketkeeper in International cricket so far. He needs one more catch to become the 3rd keeper with 600 catches in International cricket. He completed 500 List A dismissals in the previous game and 400 ODI dismissals in the 3rd match of this series.

9967 – Runs MS Dhoni scored in his ODI career so far. He needs 33 more runs to complete 10,000 ODI runs and become the 4th Indian to achieve the milestone.
