During the recently concluded third ODI against South Africa at the Newlands, Cape Town, MS Dhoni entered the record books for yet another milestones. He completed his 400 dismissals in ODI cricket after he stumped the South African skipper Aiden Markram off the bowling of Kuldeep Yadav in the match.
While this feat is something that is being talked about in the cricket world, there was another interesting feature of Dhoni’s game that kept the fans interested throughout the course of the South African innings. The ongoing India’s tour of South Africa has already bagged a lot of headlines owing to the stump mic recordings.
And now, a recent video compilation of the Cape Town ODI features MS Dhoni in the lead role. Dhoni is seen chirping to the Indian bowlers in the match. Dhoni is heard giving advice to the Indian bowlers, the spinners in particular. It is worth noting that even the Indian spinners – Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav – have often openly admitted that the tips from MS Dhoni from behind the stumps is very valuable to them.
The constant chirping of Dhoni just indicates how well he reads the game and the opposition. Also, it is indicative of the leadership qualities that this man possesses. He is already hailed as the greatest Indian captain ever. And now, even after he has stepped down as the captain of the Indian team, he continues to rule the terms of the game.
He likes staying involved and is often the one who controls the field placement. Well, Virat Kohli is indeed very lucky to have the services of a senior pro like MS Dhoni in the team.
