The scorecard of the three-match T20I series would show that South Africa have won it by taking an unassailable 2-0 lead. However, both encounters turned out to be absolute thrillers with the visiting team failing to hold its nerve in the death overs. The Proteas didn’t have Faf du Plessis and David Miller would be satisfied that he led the team to glory against the ICC’s number-one ranked T20I team.

Pakistan, on the contrary, came into the series without their regular captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and slumped to their first T20I series in three years. They would be disappointed as in both the previous matches, they had the opposition by the scruff of its neck. The third game of the series is scheduled to be played tomorrow at the SuperSport Park in Centurion and it’s nothing, but a dead rubber.

Pitch and Conditions

The two matches in the series have been won by the team, batting first. Moreover, the venue has also been a witness to seven games out of which only two were won by the team, batting second. Hence, for the time being, teams are most likely to bat first after winning the toss. Though clouds are forecasted to loom over the ground, there’s no chance of a downpour

The Proteas may replace Andile Phehlukwayo with Willem Mulder. Malan and Reeza Hendricks would continue the batting with the in-form Rassie van der Dussen at number three. The onus would be on skipper Miller and Heinrich Klaasen to shepherd the middle-order. Morris’ experience needs to come to the fore. Sipamla, Beuran Hendricks and Dala are the pacers with Shamsi as the spin-bowling option.

Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan are the all-rounders. Shaheen Afridi and Faheem Ashraf are the pacemen.
