Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to lock horns on Tuesday, October 13 at the Dubai International Stadium. At the same venue, around 10 days ago, the two teams were involved in a nail-biting finish where David Warner’s SRH came out trumps by seven runs.

Both teams have played seven matches each, but the Orange Army have one win more than their rivals. However, both CSK and SRH will be going into the game on the back of defeats in their respective last matches.

The Sunrisers would be disappointed as they allowed the Rajasthan Royals (RR) to run away with the game in the death overs. MS Dhoni and Co, on the other hand, lost their previous match to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 37 runs and don’t look to be in great shape.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch in Dubai has been batting friendly in the night matches, especially for the team batting first. The chasing teams have had to scratch their heads big time. The track also has shown signs of slowing down in the second half.

The conditions will be warm with the temperature around the 33 degrees Celsius mark. The humidity will be in the mid-30s with dew not likely to play a major role.

Probable Top Performers for SRH vs CSK

Jonny Bairstow– Sunrisers Hyderabad

Jonny Bairstow couldn’t open his account the last time the Sunrisers locked horns with the Super Kings. However, that he is one of SRH’s most consistent batters can’t be denied. With a top score of 97, the Englishman has 257 runs at an average of 36.97.

In fact, his highest score came in Dubai itself against KXIP. The right-hander will surely be looking to make amends in the Sunrisers’ next match.

Faf du Plessis – Chennai Super Kings

Faf du Plessis has blown a little hot and cold in recent times, though he remains as the standout batsman for CSK. In seven games, the right-hander has 307 runs at an average and strike-rate of 61.40 and 147.59 respectively.

Against the SRH, the former South Africa captain has 238 runs at an average of 26.44 with a top score of 67*. He is expected to score big even in the next encounter.
