Sunil Narine pitched a brilliant display of hitting as he pierced through the list of fastest 50’s in the IPL history to sit at the top. The West Indian seemed extremely comfortable on the 22 yards with the bat as he effortlessly destroyed the RCB bowling attack. Paired with the destructive Chris Lynn Sunil Narine opened the KKR innings with a target of 158 runs to be chased.

The left-hander completely shattered fellow countryman Samuel Badree hitting him all over the park and justified his role of a pinch hitter. The 28-year old brought up his 50 in a flash of just 15 balls which saw bowlers like Badree and Arvind run out of ideas. Chris Lynn joined the carnival along with Narine and the two combined to bring up the team’s hundred in just 6 overs.

Narine finally fell victim to an Aniket Choudhary delivery as he nicked one back to keeper Kedar Jadhav. Unlike his real-life nature, Sunil Narine’s inning was an absolute destructive one with an extraordinary strike rate of 317.65.

Narine’s whirlwind innings aces the list of fastest IPL fifties ever with the one scored by fellow knight Yusuf Pathan back in 2014. Yusuf Pathan has always been known as a monster of a six-hitter and he did exactly that when he faced the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014. The big Indian was dropped and given a life before even getting off the mark and he capitalized on the opportunity in the sweetest of fashions.

Pathan hammered one of the fiercest bowlers of the current generation, Dale Steyn for 26 runs in an over to bring up his 50 off 15 balls. When Yusuf came into bat KKR needed 106 runs off just 47 deliveries but the Baroda boy was in a destructive mood. He completely proved his worth and took his team home knocking the Sunrisers Hyderabad out of the tournament.
